Latvia's GIS association has just recieved two new members- Rigas Technical University (RTU) Department of Geomatics and SIA "Measurement Data Center" (MDC). RTU's Geomantics Department trains GIS specialists, remote sensing specialists, cartographers and others in geospatial fields. On the other hand, MDC provides measurement data, collects topographic measurements/surveys, along with engineer communications measurements and blueprints, to ensure the state has correct engineering works data. Upon joining the GIS association, the new members expresses their desire and willingness to partcicpate, and join together in the development of the organization as one. The new memebrs have already shown intrest and shown support to the organizers Latvia's GIS association for our upcoming conference this year on December, 8th.
