April 1 and 2, 2016, Innsbrook University in Austria hosted Europe's geographical information's umbrella company (EURopean Umbrella Organization of Geographic Information- EUROGI) general member meeting and board of directors meeting. Buring the meeting, voting took place to decide if EUROGI would accept Latvia's GIS association (LATGIS), Iceland's geographic information organization (LISA), Mallon Technology Ltd (United Kingdom) and Spatineo Oy (Finland).
EUROGI is a non-for profit organization based in the nethrlands, whose goal is:
- Maximize geographic information to most effectively benefit the public- in good governance and comerece in Europe;
- Represent the Geographic Information society's views;
- Encourage, stimulate and ensure support for geographic information systems technology and thier development and application;
- Fulfil all that is related or can be attibuted to this list in a broader sense.
